Grim?

Apparently it is grim Up North, or at least so some people will tell you. But even in the soft and gloomy evening rain today there's a sense of quiet beauty to my eyes at least.  I've certainly tried to capture that, but this will be a dark image, given the low light conditions available.

After so many dry days in April its rather nice to see a little rain today, at least, as long as it doesn't linger too long.  I rather gather its been raining on a particular British politician's parade too, given the local election results.  I can't say that I'm in any way unhappy about that, but I'm not sure that its enough to shake loose Boris Johnson's hold of power, more's the pity.
