Fluffy

Mrs Mallard has 10 little ducklings at the moment, but they are keeping her and Mr Mallard very busy as they explore their little stream. They are terribly cute of course and therefore almost impossible not to blip.

While out walking today (see extra) Cathy and I heard a cuckoo and saw both a Green Hairstreak butterfly and a pair of grouse, but I only had the wide angle lens with me so didn't get shots of either of the last two.  

A lady walker saw us while we were looking at the grouse and asked in a puzzled voice if we knew what they were.  When I told her that they were grouse, she was grateful saying that she thought that they had looked a bit familiar.  Her friend drily added that this was no doubt because they appeared on the side of the whisky bottle ....
