Day 3 - Kirk Yetholm to Wooler

A day of sunshine and heavy showers.
After a good night’s sleep and another great breakfast (courtesy of our host at Blunty’s Mill - excellent) Mr P and I set off on the next stage of our walk. A mere 12 miles today but 2 steep climbs. Surprisingly we didn’t find it as tough as expected! The rain held off until lunchtime and then we got soaked and I found out that my lovely new waterproof boots weren’t really waterproof after all! We arrived too early to check in to the Youth Hostel (also very good) so had to go for a cuppa. In our shepherd’s hut now and all drying in the hostel drying room. Last big push to Holy Island tomorrow. Very early start.
