Hardy common hepatica

At last a summer season in our allotment garden could begin. It was forecast more or less rain for the weekend, but it has been light and only showers. All the snow has melted from the garden.

On the way there we stopped by our dear friends garden to have glasses of sparkling wine for May Day with them. So delightful, although weather was quite chilly, still.

Our garden has already come to life. Many plants had already begun to grow. This Hepatica nobilis in my photo grows under a small species of Rhododendron. It has spread to new spots around the garden over the years. Ants spread the seeds of them. Common hepatica is perennial and long lasting plant. A tuft of it is said to can live about for 50 years! Hepatica nobilis was in the list of protected species in Finland until   2005. This beautiful small flower in the shadows is modestly, but also somehow noble.

In the Blip of today, I wanted to leave the out of focus part in the right down corner to be seen, to give the impression of a location of Hepatica under Rhododendron leaves. In extra this corner is cropped of. Which one do you think is nicer?
