Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

First stage

This is presumably the follow on from yesterday's loveliness (or should that be love ins) of ladybirds. I found at least four of these clutches of ladybird eggs this morning, so hopefully my plague of greenfly will soon be over! The eggs seem to make a suitable entry for Tiny Tuesday. Ironically, my supply of ladybird larvae arrived from Green Gardener this morning as I'd assumed, wrongly as it turns out, that I would need a fresh supply.
Before the post arrived at lunchtime, I spent a good half hour squidging aphids then hosing down the two climbing roses as the shoots were a sticky furry mass of the beasts. Hopefully I won't need to do that again this season (don't believe it!).
This afternoon I went to my friend Ruth's house to pick up some things for me and for Cursillo. Her sons have been doing a wonderful job of clearing her house and almost everything had gone now. What a hard, sad job.
Back home it was time for an early dinner as we had our usual bridge group this evening. Katy and the girls came round too to see great nana before she goes home on Thursday. They wanted to put on their special dresses for her, so they looked lovely.
I filled in my postal vote before I went to bed.
