Nearly Over

The day started with the Veterans Breakfast, I’d psyched myself up for the ‘Cpl Jones’; three thick slices of fried/grilled Spam with three fried eggs, but no Spam so the ‘Black Market’ it was. Basically a large ‘Full English’
Home to change and for Joshua to pick up his referees kit before heading to the rugby club for the last home match of the season, a friendly against touring side Old Dunstonians, lovely sunny day, good rugby, well refereed by Joshua and I again had more beer than was sensible but I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
I shall see the Thursday Gang throughout the ‘off’ season but I doubt I’ll see many of the others. The end of season dinner looms but as my friends in the Thursday Gang are not going, knowing the price and having an idea of the menu through two invitations to similar dinners I will probably give it a miss as well.
