Cadair Idris

Thankfully the weather forecast earlier in the week was wrong, and it looked like it was going to be a dry day up Cadair Idris. Starting the day in Aberdyvi meant just a short drive, which was a bonus. Cloudy day but super warm. I was so hot and sweaty by the time I’d got to the lake that I could have gladly gone for a little dip. The weather at the summit was much cooler and visibility was poor. I did Cadair at about the same time last year in clear blue skies so I can’t complain. I took the Moelfryn path back down and forgot that it’s not just a nice pleasant stroll, with a long slog of uneven ground. I think I must have been tired because I was quite glad to get back to the car.

A lovely way to end a great week in Wales!
