In The Neighbourhood

Named after an Elvis Presley song, and formed in mid 80's Glasgow, His Latest Flame were thought by many as the nearest Scotland ever got to producing an all-girl pop band (the initial band members being Jacqueline Bradley on drums, Irene Brown on guitars, Laura Mazzolini on base, Moira Rankin on vocals and Tricia Reid on guitar and vocals) akin to the Bangles, abeit many of their songs had more of a political kick to them. I must admit I'd forgotten just how good their music was.
I was looking through some of my old vinyl when this cover art on the front of their only album, In The Neighbourhood, jumped out at me. I just love the expressions on the girls' faces and the hand colouring of the image.
The band called it a day back in 1990.
