Diary of an Edinburgher

Mr Bluebeard

Well, my day dreaming of a house by the sea with a dog was shattered yesterday... the one I had my eye on was suddenly 'Under Offer' last night, which means that someone has offered an acceptable price, probably above the asking price. So I didn't even get to look in it...

It was probably wee and dark and not suitable at all... *sniff*

This morning I had intended going to the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon. Not as a participant, I hasten to add! Last year (in sunshine) it was great fun, with live bands every mile to spur the runners on as they neared the end. I took hundreds of photos.

But I looked out the window - wind and rain. NOT what had been predicted at all. So I didn't bother. In fact, the sunshine didn't appear this till this afternoon.

We went for a walk, and a coffee, of course, and were greeted by real French people in the cafe, so I was able to ask for my flat white to be 'très chaud'.

There were some rather nice smells coming from this wee Former Police Box called 'Bollywood' I have never looked closely, but it's a wee Indian takeaway, and this nice man and his family were buying some rather nice curries to go and sit in the park to eat. I admired his fetching blue beard.

Actually, it was a walk, but not just any walk... (to be said in a sexy M&S food advert voice)

And it's set the cat amongst the pigeons parrots...

I need to go an lie down.

EDIT: I have just booked tickets to see Admiral Fallow in Perth Concert Hall next month!! Very Very excited.
