Another Snow Day!

It snowed heavily during the night so we woke up to this.
I had to take Bella walkies this morning as Frank had his piano lesson.
He didn’t feel like going but it’s only half an hour and she was gentle with him. 
I ordered a lovely orchid plant to be sent to Sabrina as a good luck gift, she opens her beauty shop on Monday! Only part time to begin with as she will still need to work at the prison until it gets going. She’s so excited.
Yesterday Amelia got her early birthday present. Two Guinea Pigs! Lucy and her are over the moon and will share their care. She’s called them Bubble and Squeak after the ones Mummy had when she was little. 
Today I did a bit of drawing, I was trying to make a good luck card for Sabrina but I couldn’t get it how I wanted it so I gave up. 
I will go into Skipton tomorrow to see if I can find a suitable one.
Another snow poem.

Snow Day

It’s been snowing on and off all day
and in between there’s been sunshine.
I suppose it is still March - only just
and there is no Winter deadline.
I donned my coat, hat and mittens,
took the dog for a walk up the track,
the hills were white, dotted with sheep,
I almost slipped on the way back.
A man came walking towards us
and we passed the time of day,
‘It’s a cold one this morning’ he said,
then we went our separate ways.
I don’t complain about the snow,
it’s only a bit of weather after all,
there are people far, far worse off,
with nowhere to shelter come nightfall.
