Cherry blossoms

Exploring New York city visiting my friend Alex, a musician in Brooklyn. Taking in the city we explored the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens today. Wet green grass and blooming cherry trees. A misty wet drizzly day, chilly weather. The cusp of spring full blown. Rain drops hanging off flower blossoms, birds singing in the trees, and ducks in courtship milling around the pond.

Later making our way slowly home. Stopping in a hole in the wall Mexican bakery. Fresh tamales and flan pudding with cheap coffee for cinco de mayo. Drinks at Alex's restaurant and walking home through the streets tipsy in pouring spring rain. An excellent day.
