Unfolding Scaffolding 2

Today's image is of a gatehouse, a few hundred yards from where I live, that used to be part of the Preston Hall Estate.
It's tiny and is surrounded on two sides by very busy roads. It's almost octagonal in shape and sits on a very narrow footprint but has survived for what must be well over a century.
It had begun to look a bit run down but has been recently purchased by new owners who are in the process of restoring and sympathetically upgrading it, hence the scaffolding. It's great to see it being shown a bit of love again.

There is a Seamus Heaney poem called Scaffolding:

Masons, when they start upon a building,
Are careful to test out the scaffolding;
Make sure that planks won’t slip at busy points,
Secure all ladders, tighten bolted joints.
And yet all this comes down when the job’s done
Showing off walls of sure and solid stone.
So if, my dear, there sometimes seem to be
Old bridges breaking between you and me
Never fear. We may let the scaffolds fall
Confident that we have built our wall.

It's about the bonds of love and friendship - but sometimes buildings need that too!
