Shut the front door

This was meant to be a ‘before and after’ collage but things didn’t quite go to plan.

We’ve had a new porch door and window fitted today, plus a new back door and there’s something wrong with them all!

The back door should have 2 panels at the bottom (to match the new front door and our internal doors); it’s only got one. We asked for chrome fixtures but the back door and porch window have white ones.

The most monumental cock up though is the entrance to the porch.
I’d asked them to reconfigure the frame, so that we’d have the door in the middle and two smaller side panels either side, rather than the big panel we had already.
The side panels were to be glazed in the top half and the lower panel to match the front door.
I had photos when the guy came to measure up originally, so showed him exactly what I wanted.

For reasons unknown, they’ve elongated the glass panels so the lower panels are out of alignment with the door.

The front door has been open all day, so Mr A didn’t notice. It was only when I looked on our security camera to see how it looked that I spotted the glaring error.

They’re coming back tomorrow to finish off so Mr A will be telling them it’s not what we asked for and it needs sorting. And that they’ve walked silicone into our lounge carpet :-0
