Sally Mair - Loving life

Physic Well

I pottered around at home this morning, nice to have a lazy start for a change.
I had a hair appointment at 2pm and came out not only lighter in the pocket but on the head too. My hair seems to have grown really quickly, but I guess when it's short, any growth is noticeable.
I went down to see Ali and Josie afterwards, she's 6 months old tomorrow, how time flies past.
They are having some odds and ends of painting done at the house, so I took Josie out for a walk to give Ali a break. I walked a couple of routes which I hadn't done before and came across a stylised public garden with lots of tall upright stones and next to it, a little fenced off area with this well head on it.
The Stank Burn used to be above ground when I was a child but now it's mainly in culverts and piped to the Water of Leith at Murrayfield.
I also walked around the Murray Cottages, a lovely little group of, I think, sheltered houses set of the main road in a circle around central gardens. I would love to live in one of them. I think they belonged to Salvesen at some point.
Bridge this evening and I was in less than effective form I'm afraid, still we had fun.
Stay safe folks, there seems to be an awful lot of covid around just now.
