pebble underneath my feet

would you get up and do the things you believe in?

Yesterday Maeda San told me of a local saying in Kanazawa which is that you can forget your lunch box, but you need to make sure you don't forget your umbrella. Very, very true. The deceptive blue skies of the morning broke and it started pouring with rain. Went to ninja-dera which was awesome: loads of double doors, hidden floor boards leading to secret stairways or traps for enemies. A change of shoes later (my pumps were sodden), I went off to Omichyo market where I had more premium quality sushi. Soooooo nice. Walked to the Geisha district, where I visited the Gold Leaf Museum and a traditional tea house where geisha used to entertain their guests back in the day. Again, couldn't take any pictures of any of these places. Later on, I went to the samurai district and this house which was lovely. Love the paintings, the walls and the gardens...here you can see all three.
