Another Walk in the Woods

Singing with Claire Hastings this morning. She's a very upbeat person and I enjoy her sessions. But this morning her chosen theme was 'parting', and it was all a bit melancholy. The grey sky and drizzle didn't help to elevate my mood.

A walk after lunch seemed like a good idea, and it was back to the wood at Harestanes where there is shelter from the trees and even a little cabin to perch in if it's really bad. 

Unfortunately the path had got very muddy, so it turned into a bit of a squelch. We came home and put the woodturner on, and I made cocoa, the way I like it, with oat milk and a lot of cocoa and not very much sugar, whizzed up with the frother-thingy. Felt rather restored. Though it's hard not to keep thinking of what's going on in Ukraine. But good news about Nazanin.
