In thanks

A delightfully springlike morning first thing. I walked to the allotment to pop off composting and got chatting to a fellow grower who likes to work his plot early, then return home for breakfast. We traded tips on suppressing bindweed and other such things.

After work I walked again. The sky was bright blue and the moon beaming out from it. As I looked, I was reminded of the smallness and preciousness of this earth. An hour or so later we experienced a sunset of pinks and reds rippled across the sky. As the bright ball of fire slowly sunk behind the trees, the birds sang and called as if in thanks for this beautiful day.
