Silly Saturday

Today's the first Saturday of the month - and that means it's a "formal", hosted Silly Saturday in memory of its originator, Admirer. Carol Dunham is kindly hosting today.

It was a lovely sunny morning, albeit with a cold northerly wind to blow the cobwebs away, so we took granddog Oona to the beach. Her energy is amazing and she spent at least an hour chasing and returning her ball. She's a springer spaniel/poodle cross - and she certainly shows her springer ancestry well! She looks really silly in the pose on the main blip - and the silly girl missed the ball that time which is quite unusual, she can certainly catch a lot better than I can! The first extra shows a more successful catch.

The second extra is also quite silly - it's another of our local Morph exhibits as part of "MorphintheNorth" (details on my January Silly Saturday page). This one is called "A Taste of What's to Come": the writing says that the artist (Emily Ward) has included the colours of sunsets and a mix of  beautiful daisies to remind us of the warm months to come [as spring and summer arrive]. This one is by the priory in Tynemouth.

(My apologies that I was a bit late in putting today's Silly Saturday details on the blip challenges page...I must be getting old & forgetful. I'll try to do better next month!)
