Swan's way

(Yes, I'm still reading Proust....)

Went across to the market and stocked up with much delicious-ness. Noticed a pair of swans fossicking around near the nest under the bridge, and on our way back saw them heading down towards the swing bridge, to deter interlopers no doubt. I was waiting to get a photo of one or both of their leg rings and by the time I got this, realised that they were heading out of range! She's TIL, though, the one that nested here last year I think. (Meanwhile, I read that TZU, she of the 68 cygnets so far, has moved from the Figgate to Murrayfield!). I must try to stop remembering swan IDs.....
