Toys and Games

During our little trip away at the start of the week Olivia became fixated on a large doll from the souvenir shop and went on and on about it. Being the lovely, kind, generous parents that we are, we said "no" as she barely plays with the toys that she has now, including the ones that she asked for for Christmas. To be fair, after only a little bit of pouting, she accepted this quite well and reasoned that if she starts playing with her toys now then the next time we go back to the park (which may not be for some time) she will be allowed to get the doll.

So this afternoon she has been trying to play with her toys rather than just drawing pictures, cutting and sticking which she loves to do, and it seemed quite apt that we played her Princess board game after our trip. Long may it continue.
