The perfect hotel for children

This was our room in The Efteling Hotel. It is a standard room and it was quite wonderful. The kids had bunk beds in the room and Olivia felt like a princess sleeping on the top bunk with drapes all around the bed. There were so many lovely touches such as colouring books and pencils, a beautiful board game based around the Efteling park and fairytales, 'magic' red dancing shoes in the wardrobe, a little (pretend) mouse peeping out of a hole cut into the bottom of the bunk beds, a very clever cupboard/combined step in the bathroom for the kids to stand on when washing their hands/brushing their teeth, a framed 'magic' mirror in the bathroom which looked like you were wearing a crown and so on. The staff were really friendly and all the children in the hotel were treat like VIPS with their own special plates and food for breakfast and characters from the park walking around entertaining them while tired parents ate!

One of the main reasons why we're visiting Efteling at the moment is because Hubby is working in a nearby town today so while he went to work myself and the kids went back into the park for more fun. He did manage to join us later in the day but as we've had such a nice time and as it's only one and a half hours from home, we will definitely come back, and perhaps we'll even upgrade to a themed room next time which are meant to be fabulous!
