T-Wood and Caerketton Craigs

All the snow has been washed away by overnight rain. Very mild and quite breezy. After breakfast I do some back blipping, and catch up on Friday and Saturday.

Forecast says there is going to be heavy rain in the afternoon. So in the morning, after coffee, I head up to Swanston. I want to try a new walking route. The main blip is taken from just above Swanston village. For a change I head west from this point. Extra 1 shows a different view of Pentland Hills. The route heads down from here, but the route in a bit sodden. Instead I head back to Swanston Farm. Extra 2 shows Goats out on a hillside. I also pass Swanston Cottage, Extra 3, the house where Robert Louis Stevenson used to spend the summer as a child. I head home. 50m away from the house the rain starts, quite heavily. It's lunchtime anyway.

After lunch, in between showers, I go for a short bike ride. It is a bit blustery at the start, then the sun comes out, for a bit. I muse going for a longer ride, but on the way over the Braids, I see the next rain shower heading my way. I get home, get inside, and the rain starts.

Blip 3,000. It's snowing outside.
