Not The Heart For It

The ‘Thursday Gang’ at the rugby club were today supposed to cut hedges again, the Kings Road side of the Tregenver site this time. Last time we did the Tregenver Road side, bloody hard work and when you watch the way the power cutters and trimmers are wielded, not without some risk. So a coffee, a walk over in intermittent drizzle to look at the size of the job resulted in a “next week will do”.

Back in the clubhouse I was caught downloading another book to read and accused of being a “bookworm”. I pointed out that I am a Bibliophile and explained reading increases your vocabulary and your knowledge of how to correctly use new words, reading helps you clearly articulate what you want to say. The knowledge you gain from reading also gives you the ability to converse with others on a wide range of subjects.
