Caldbeck
Caldbeck is a lovely Lake District village…Plenty of ducks on the pond!
The river Caldbeck ( cold river ) runs through the village…just before it it gets there, it drops through a fantastic gorge ( see extra ).
There was a Bobbin Mill at the foot of the gorge ( it’s still there, but not in use ). Millions of bobbins were needed to supply the Lancashire spinning and weaving industries.
