Bus Pass Walk

Interesting bus ride up to Gilstead this morning when the bus had to squeeze through a small gap by the White Horse due to a broken down Range Rover - he got a round of applause!  He then needed a “comfort break” as he got to the doctor’s surgery, and was then thwarted by a removal van making a side road too narrow for the bus to get through.  He wasn’t having a good day!  4 of us did the Gilstead Crags route - very blustery up there again, and quite muddy this time, but a good walk. Refreshments taken at the 5 Rise Cafe where we luckily secured a table just before a huge influx of walkers. Photo today is of the ongoing works on the locks - lots of serious equipment inside and outside the locks - looks like the job will take some time.  Started to rain as we left, but not long to wait for the bus home once we reached the town centre.
