Kelsey's Determination

Our daughter Kelsey has been rowing for less than six months, but she already displays the determination necessary to become a top flight rower. Not only does she get up every morning at 5:00 a.m., ride her bike to practice in the dark, and then put in a full day at school, but she also works harder than anyone in the boat during races. She is the one in the third seat here (second from the right) leaning back on the oar as her team competes in the women's open 8 petite final during today's slate of races. They managed to improve their time by almost 10 seconds from the preliminaries (where they narrowly missed out on third place and spot in the grand final) from the day before and I have to think it is because my daughter is working so hard as is evidenced in today's photo.
