East facing Ravensheugh beach was relatively sheltered by the high dunes from the strong westerly wind which was throwing up the spray on the waves. (Extra) Evidence of recent stormy winds is very obvious on the woodland paths with some completely blocked although since our last visit some fallen trees have been cleared for access. According to the number of tree rings the snapped tree must be about 159 years old although most pine trees were about 50 to 60 years old.
Some successfully identified yesterday’s lychee which I had tried to find for my Chinese New Year meal last week.
Thanks to Cailleach for hosting Wildwed challenge.
