Scent Sent in a Prezzie
Despite the feeling that I had unknowingly strayed into the Arctic circle this morning, the sun shone for my Ivy breakfast with HL’s cancer nurse. Our meeting was first scheduled for the week before Christmas but Omicron appeared and she had to cancel her annual leave and then after Christmas she got Covid herself, so today was the day.
Christmas presents that had taken root in our respective houses were exchanged and now my sitting room smells amazing with her gift of a Scentzy flower.
The town was overflowing with men of a certain age, rugby buffs come to see the Calcutta rugby match with England tomorrow. It is like a reinactment of the Battle of Bannockburn with the usual verbal jousting that goes on before the match itself. At least Edinburgh City glowed in the sun to impress the visitors
