Rocky Mountain Moments

Sunset

This started as several rolls of colorful (washi) tape and ICM.  I didn't really do much to it except bring up the colors a bit.  I think it looks like an abstract sunset, if you use your imagination a little.  The first extra is my second attempt at using the Liquify filter in PS Elements.  I think that one looks like a mountain lake - that's what I was going for anyway.  The second extra is how it started.  I could have kept going on it as I was discovering how it worked, but I already had spent way too much time on it!  I really need to watch a video to discover all the nuances.  Many thanks to Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursdays!

It was 9 degrees below zero (-22.8C) when I got up this morning.  By noon it had warmed up to a toasty 26F (-3.3C), our high for the day.  The sky is cloudless and the sun is bright, especially reflecting off all that snow.  It would have been a perfect ski day!  I miss skiing, but I'm grateful that I skied every week for years.  Lots of happy memories!

My blip yesterday was deceiving.  Our lawn has had snow on it since the first storm on New Year's Eve.  Only the top 9 inches were from yesterday's storm.  Generally, all the snow melts between storms, but this year it hasn't had a chance.  We've had one storm after another.  As long as the roads are clear, I love it.  If it wasn't white, everything would be brown, and that's depressing!

Don't forget I will be hosting Silly Saturday this week in memory of Admirer.  I'm really hoping for a big turn out.  Remember, silly is in the eye of the beholder and, as Admirer always said, "I am looking forward to find the silly, funny, absurd and hilarious pictures in the gallery (ies)."
The tags will be SilSFeb2022 and/or SilS279. :-))
