Room with a view

This hotel is near Media City and did look out to sea at one point but they built this marina and the spit of land with tower blocks on it in the last couple of years. The land on the right is the road out to the Palm.  The garden of this hotel is below and it is full of birds, none of which are native apparently.  There are crows and seagulls and sparrows but many pretty smaller birds, and parakeets of course.  It’s very lively with their calls. Learning lots about the place, most of the media heads are Pakistani and Lebanese.  Had dinner with a highly intelligent media boss last night who told me that there is a big push for inclusivity and tolerance here but I notice whenever they say anything negative about the country they drop their voices quite considerably.  
Anyway nice to have sun even if not quite as warm as I thought!
