Cheapo

This lens.  I received it today from an eBay seller; it's a Fuji XM-FL, commonly referred to as a body cap as it's barely thicker than one. It's made of plastic, has a fixed aperture (ƒ8) and has three filters built-in: clear, star and soft.  The soft is awfully soft, the star is a bit harsh and the clear is just about acceptably sharp, but it's a tiny lens which works.  I'm not sure how long I'll keep it but I'll have some fun for a while.

The scene is a lane beyond the church, one which dips into the valley where sits a lone house.  We tried to walk down there, but the road (little used at present) was covered in ice on a shaded corner with a steep gradient so we retreated and chose a different route.

Mrs B has been told that there used to be a group of hovels there as well (a couple of hundred years ago), and that perhaps her ancestors lived there before being sent to the next parish under the Poor Law.  We keep looking for graves with familiar names but it's unlikely that they could afford headstones.  Tough times for the poor people . . .
