Double Shot Mummy

Last Kindermusik Class and starting Nursery....

I felt a bit sad today as Kindermusik has been very helpful for us all settling into Dubai. It has given Oscar and Bailee a regular activity to partake in each week as well as build confidence through and have fun! The first time we all went Maple was just a tiny dot hidden amidst the sling. Oscar and Bailee were too shy to reply to the opening song with, "Hello Miss Liz". Now Oscar confidently responds and Bailee at least does the actions :-) Funny how pre-Dubai I never thought confidence was something they would ever lack.... (Or shyness would be something they would have). But everything has been new for them here; new friends, new surroundings, new everything (Apart from mummy and daddy and each other). I am so proud of how they have adjusted. It has been worth it, although extremely tough at times.

It was probably their last regular class (We may do the seasonal special events like Christmas etc). If next week at Spring Camp goes as well as this week did (It truly exceeded all expectations for us all and feels 'right'), Oscar and Bailee will start at Nursery 5 mornings a week. I don't want to let them go (As in out of arms reach from me).... but I feel it will be harder for me than for Bailee and Oscar! They just loved last week, wanted to go each day and had the happiest smiles and stories to tell when I picked them up each day. They are ready. And it is a nice nursery. Colourful, inviting, interesting, inclusive, warm and catering too all the senses. I am lucky that we could 'trial' it in Spring Camp. The only issue I have at the moment is with the Principal. She is VERY to the point. I have asked her so many questions and almost feel like I am a pest. The teachers so far seem extremely warm and nurturing. I am hoping it is because she is extremely busy as it is a new school set up in February. Her interactions with Bailee and Oscar have been friendly. I guess that is the important thing.

So fingers crossed next week goes so well for the twins. I love that they have already made friends. There is a little girl there called Natalie that apparently just loves and looks after the twins!
