Water rail

We had a welcome break from packing today and went for lunch with C. and C. Before lunch we went for a walk around the nature reserve and came across a warden who had caught and was ringing a water rail. He told us that there are only 80 breeding pairs in the country so it was a privilege for us to see this one.
