Sally Mair - Loving life

Costa Leith

I had an early start this morning, (but not as early as Katy and Jon) getting the girls ready for school. They were on good form and up in plenty of time so I took them to breakfast club and was home and back in my own bed by 8.30 with a cup of coffee!
I had a final look at our Cursillo magazine which is due out soon and then had my Cursillo Reunion group Zoom.
Colin and I then went down to Ocean Terminal to return a second bee drone. This time we got a gift card refund and I don't think Eilidh will be buying another. They are just not robust enough to be advertised as suitable for 6 year old, if our very careful 8 year old has problems with them. She has had a lot of pleasure from them though and has mastered the skill so is quite satisfied. She's quite delighted too, that she can now chose something else! Thanks Anne and Martin.
My blip today is the view across the bay towards Newhaven and Granton Harbour. I thought it looked really festive with all its twinkling lights.

This evening is TV quiz night.

Thanks for all the memories triggered by my mention of George Street Shops, another Princes Street store which wasn't mentioned was Smalls. It, along with Macvities Guest, was one of the few store restaurants where you could buy a plate of chips in the '60s!
Keep safe folks.
