My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

It is hot.

On the plus side, it is not humid, and there's still a decent breeze out there. But Caro and I attempted to sit outside (under the umbrella) and she gave in after 10 minutes to retreat back inside to the safety of air conditioning. 

I lasted about 10 minutes more than her. But that was it. 

Jasper, meanwhile, made the most of our brief time outside. He took himself into the middle of the lawn and rolled about happily. 

And then he sensibly scuttled back inside too. 

It is hot.
