Dipper in the Braid Burn
An early morning walk to Braidburn Valley. At a secluded spot near the south entrance I spot a couple of dippers looking for breakfast in the burn. Further up the hill, Warklaw hill, Extra 1, still has remnants of morning mist.
After morning coffee, I do a quick 32.8 mile ride, less than 100km to go to the year's target.
After lunch, my partner and I follow the Braids Bridle Path from Braid Rd to Braid Hills Drive. Extra 2 shows a very busy Blackford Hill still in sunshine. We then walk towards the Hermitage of Braid and follow the top path west to Braid Rd. From there, its to Braidburn Valley Park to walk along the grass to remove most of the mud from the walking shoes. The mist has returned, and the Pentland Hills hidden.
