Long muddy walk

Today the sun was out so No1 and I did a very long, muddy walk. We left the boys to their own devices (OH went to football and No.1’s partner was updating his portfolio for new year job hunting). We set off with flask and cake and 100 yards up the road met T&P for a chat where I discovered the flask was leaking as the back pack was soaked! They agreed to drop it back off at our house as they made their way home. Lots of walking and chatting and 24000 steps. Home for dinner and scrabble where I am pleased to say the ‘thick builder’ (his words) whopped the arses of the challengers!

Another good day but I need to get back into some sort of routine now - there is only so much sitting around you can do! Although weather has not been conducive to gardening so it might be a few more days of indoor stuff (probably weeks?!)
