From the Passenger Seat
Happy New Year to one and all!
Early to bed and early to rise seemed to be the mantra in my head yesterday evening, meaning that I missed any bells, fireworks or drunken renditions of Auld Lang Syne ( with a sibilant ‘s’ not a ‘z’!)
Not that I was up with the lark but early enough to be padding down to meet the Porty waves at 8:30. There were very many other people of similar mind there - an unorchestrated dawn ‘loony dook’ as it were.
It was very refreshing although my companion on this occasion being somewhat younger than I, was worried that the considerable wind was pushing me out of my depth and I might find myself ‘up the creek without a paddle’, so to speak. The wind was a nuisance when trying to get dressed as articles of clothing tended to blow away requiring agility in recapturing them.
It was home to the Dower House with my companion to share a cuddle with my sole hot water bottle while scoffing Christmas cake and mince pies. My other companion meant to attend was at home with a dicky tum. She blames a stir fry although they all say that on New Years Day, don’t they?
My blip illustrates my day -dawn on the beach, sunset on the Meadows and what I considered a funny view of the car dashboard from the passenger seat
