New Year 2023

Happy New Year To All!
Hogmanay was a blast, almost literally as the brass players at the St Giles Concert last night gave it laldy as the organ thundered and the choir sang their socks off.
Unlike John Knox, I don’t frequent the Cathedral very often , but it was looking wonderfully majestic in candle light.

Back at Sue’s we had the most wonderful meal of salmon followed by -(vegetarians look away now)lamb shanks, mashed potato and broccoli and for afters , trifle.
I made it home by 10:30pm and was tucked up in bed before the bells and falling asleep to the booming sound of fireworks. It was such an enjoyable evening.

It was business as usual this morning with a trip to the beach and a New Year loony dook - just Beth and I, the 2 loonies at Groyne 4 enjoying the high tide. The 3rd loony,Sue,  was stranded ashore feeling a bit under the weather with the cold that is doing the rounds.
