Highlights

On Wednesday Lex added a new app on my phone, Marco Polo, which allows one to send short videos.  Manda sent me a Marco of the twins this morning which was delightful and really started my day off on a happy note.  I look forward to more in the future.

Looking back on 2021, which had many low points (mainly medical and the passing of my sister May) I tried to find the bright points in the year.  In April I was able to bring Sylvie home from the shelter and she has turned out to be a daily joy, except for the licking and drooling which I can do nothing about.  For Flower Friday, here she is sniffing at the little rosebush Manda gave me - not surprisingly, it did not survive my purple thumb.

In August came Sarah's long-postponed wedding, which came off exactly as planned.  Sarah looked stunning, the wedding party were beautifully dressed, the food was delicious, and everyone had a wonderful time.  Now both the girls are settled in their adult life.

Of course the biggest highlights came throughout the year in the form of Sam and Max.  Watching them grow and change is such a delight, and I'm happy that I've developed friendships with each of them  I'm hoping I live a long time so that I can see them develop and individualize.  I have so much love for them in my heart.

The thing I'm most grateful for this year is the incredible support I've gotten from Lex and Doug.  I couldn't manage the difficulties of my daily life without their help, and they give it freely.  I can only hope that I give something valuable to them as well.

And then there is Blipfoto, which is my daily boost and which connects me to such a wide world of kind and thoughtful folks.  I'm not very good at the commenting these days, but I love feeling part of your lives.

I hope all of you had many highlights this year, and that we will all find in 2022 great things to be joyful about.

Happy New Year!
