Lake Lure Vacation: Day 4 …

… Blipmeet!

Before we left for this vacation I had gotten a hold of a fellow blipper that I knew lived nearby in South Carolina.  We had made plans to meet up later this week but looking ahead at the nasty weather coming in I contacted her this morning to see if we could move up our blipmeet to today.  And luckily Mary was okay with this!  Yay!

We all agreed to meet at Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve in Spartanburg, SC as this was sort of half way for each of us.   Mary and her husband J soon arrived and we had a wonderful time walking through the gardens talking the entire time!  I’ve included an extra of Mary and myself.  But my main photo is of a lovely young lady that we saw at the gardens.  There was a young man doing high school photos so she wasn’t the only young person we saw! But isn’t she lovely?!?
We spent several hours with Mary and J but it was soon time to leave.  Their journey back would be a couple of hours so we didn’t want to go too late.  We were back at our condo by supper.
