A lost soul/sole?

Found all by itself on the path up to Stanage Edge. Must have been a bit of a shock to the owner of the boots to lose the whole sole unit, can't have made for an easy walk home either.

This was on a day out with work colleagues on a walking and talking meeting, which is a much better way of conducting business than in a covid cafe.
