The other Forth Railway Bridge.
This afternoon we took Chloe for a little walk at South Alloa along the river. This bridge was active from 1885 to 1970 and the tracks and decking were lifted in 1971. I do wish the deck could be reinstated, it would make an excellent walk across to Alloa on the north side of the river.
While there, talking to a friend, a seal popped up from the river, took one look at us and vanished under water again. Too quick to take a photo but lovely to see nonetheless.
Home to some Christmas leftovers, pigs in blankets, stuffing, mash, red cabbage and sprouts with lardons, yum!
