Old Fisherman’s Tales!

“It was this long, honest!”
During a walk along the canal this afternoon we spotted four cormorants. This one was standing on a pontoon, hanging its wings out to dry.
They need to do this as they lack the waterproofing oils of most other aquatic birds. 
We have enjoyed a rather pleasant day - for the time of year. Dry and mild (8C this afternoon) with little breeze and even some sunshine.
