Saxilby duck race

An annual event, covid permitting, we missed it last year. On a wet morning 2000 plastic ducks were tipped into the canal and ‘swam’ about 100 yards to the finish line. I bought a ticket, but as usual didn’t have a winning ticket. A good event for raising funds for the local football club. We didn’t stay long, just completed the walk round the village.

I caught up on the Queen’s speech, that we missed yesterday.

R, S and Olive went home after dinner, to get ready to do interesting things tomorrow. We have tidied up and are setting down to watch a bit of TV before bedtime.

It has been a most enjoyable holiday weekend.
