Boxing Day Panto

Extra - it’s a Goldcrest
... oh, no it isn’t...
... oh, yes, it is ...

I spent a lovely 10 minutes watching Goldcrests flitting and picking their way among the Alder trees above Aira.
I had come out for some fresh air having cleared the fridge and started defrosting it, although that might take a while with the house being cold.
Took up some plants from the garden and tidied a bit.
Hoovered and cleaned upstairs.
Put a laundry wash on. Yes, I know, a bit weird, but I haven’t had the headspace to master the one in the new place yet so bought some washing over to do whilst cleaning. Trying to cram another thing into my little brain reminded me of the Mr Creosote sketch and I reckoned my head was very probably likely to explode!

Later ... just watched Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing ... such a poignant bit when Mortimer played a record of Paul Whitehouse’s mother, Anita, singing. I hadn’t realised ... what a gorgeous voice and he was clearly so moved and sad that she wouldn’t know now that it was her that was singing.
