Dreich is the only word to describe today. It rained most of the day and after I came back from the even quieter pool I was inside. Inside apart from a foray out the back to fill up the bird feeders. I am now over supplied with bird food and apart from one pigeon the birds weren't even going about today. Wise birds!

Made carrot soup with the ageing carrots and failed to fix the duck. Another one (real one) arrived from Inverurie mid evening, phew!

The last parcel arrived this morning and today the postman rang the doorbell. Result! Some wrapping ensued. Not sure how to get the filled plant pot where it needs to go.

Then it was one of those Christmas kind of days when I watch daytime TV. This afternoon it was the rest of 'Crazy Rich Asians' from last night which I last watched on a plane to KL.Those were the days! Henry Golding was also in 'Last Christmas' later on in the evening. I worked with his cousin don't you know and gave him the lowdown on Malaysia when he went to East Malaysia for Henry's wedding. That was a few years ago.

It was a restful day and Gareth Malone singing in Blackburn almost made me feel it was Christmas. Almost.
