Cosy corner

We have been neglecting this lamp.  But we switched it on for the viewings, and when I came in from the studio this evening, W had switched it on again.

It really makes this corner of the entrance hall look very cosy.

It's interesting that this is yet another outing for the flash.  A photo with just the lamp was too dark.  And when I switched on the room lights, that resulted in the lamp "blowing out".

Yet another day where I missed the daylight as I was busy in the studio.  Though I did keep an eye on the sky as the sun was setting - I don't think there were any interesting colours.  I've finished another placemat for Z, so she can now take two away with her when she visits at the end of this week - Covid willing.  Her trip to the UK has already run into problems as the friend she was due to stay with in London has just tested positive!
