Not to Plan

A delivery before we came away had the wrong item in it. Trying to get it exchanged has been a challenge because we were away from home.  Sent back today in Keswick.

We left Ambleside bathed in mist and emerged into the sunshine in Keswick.We used the excuse to walk along the old railway track and then up onto Latrigg. The cycle path bridge had been closed due to storm damage but we were lucky to turn off before the bridge. Lovely day if a little chilly on top.

On the descent the warm afternoon light was a delight. Encountered walkers and this fell runner in blue skeleton outfit on his way up and overtook us again on the descent.

Enjoyed the setting sun as we drove back alongside Thirlmere. A grand day out.
