Treat

Today was our Special Christmas Treat for the grandchildren.

We met up with the three, and their Mum, at Cote Brasserie in Sloane Square. Brunch and a dessert proved to be the perfect meal, as far as the girls were concerned.

Then a taxi (nothing like a black cab for feeling special) to the Apollo Victoria. We were going to see ‘Wicked’. We had managed some good seats and everyone really enjoyed it. Amazing costumes and astonishing special effects. The girls were just the right age to be mesmerised by it all, although I think grandad was too.

The blip is of the three at Starbucks, where they loved being able to select all the ridiculous frothy drinks and cakes, without someone commenting about how much they cost! Then we left them at Victoria Station for their train home.

A good day. A good weekend. Everything went as planned. Train back tomorrow.
